YELCON™ NRFit® spinal and epidural needles are designed for safe and reliable neuraxial procedures. The portfolio includes spinal needles with Quincke or Pencil Point tips and epidural needles with Tuohy tips, equipped with an NRFit® connector in accordance with ISO 80369-6 to help reduce the risk of misconnections.
Over the past years, many incidents have been reported worldwide, leading to international recognition of the importance of safer connector standards in neuraxial applications. As a result, ISO 80369-6 was developed to define the requirements for small-bore connectors used in neuraxial applications. NRFit® connectors are specifically designed for the administration of fluids via the neuraxial route and help reduce the risk of unintended connections with incompatible medical systems.
The needles are developed to provide optimal control, accurate placement, and smooth puncture performance during spinal, epidural, and combined spinal-epidural anaesthesia procedures. Clear colour coding, high-quality finishing, and ergonomic handling support efficient and safe clinical use.
