The VenoFlow™ SLIDE-2-SAFETY blood collection set is designed for safe and efficient blood collection. The set features a manually operated safety mechanism, allowing healthcare professionals to slide the protective mechanism over the needle after use and securely lock the needle in place.
This manual activation gives the user full control over the safety mechanism. It may contribute to increased patient comfort compared to systems in which the needle retracts automatically, while reducing the risk of uncontrolled splashing.
The blood collection sets are colour-coded by needle gauge and available in different versions, including versions with a luer adapter and versions with a luer adapter and pre-mounted tube holder. This allows healthcare professionals to select the most suitable version for their clinical workflow.
