This blood collection set with automatic needle safety mechanism allow you to collect blood safely. It is designed in such a way that the hands of the user always remain as far away from the needle and needle tip as possible. After pushing the button, the needle is automatically retracted into the safety mechanism. This is done by means of a spring construction.
The sets are colour-coded and available in various versions (with or without luer adapter, with or without holder). In the product table at the bottom of this page you will find a complete overview with all possibilities.
General user instructions
1. Remove the set from the sterile individual packaging and check the best before date and whether the packaging is undamaged.
2. Hold the safety mechanism and remove the protective cap from the needle.
3. Hold the needle by the wings and insert the needle into the patient.
4. After blood collection: hold a sterile gauze over the puncture site, and with the other hand hold the base of the set while pushing the button that activate the safety mechanism.
5. The safety mechanism is activated when you hear the click, locking the needle in the safety mechanism.
6. Dispose of the used set according to local regulations.
