•  After completion of infusion, safety needle shield is slided over the needle until it is in locked position. The needle is isolated and securely locked into a closed system

Instructions

1. Remove the set from the sterile individual package and check the best before date and whether the package is undamaged.

2. Hold the safety mechanism and remove the protective cap from the needle.

3. Hold the needle by the wings and insert the needle into the patient.

4. After infusion: Hold a sterile gauze over the puncture site and, with the other hand, hold the base of the set while withdrawing the needle.

5. Activate the safety mechanism by gently pulling the extension line away from the needle to activate the safety mechanism. You will hear two clicks once the needle safety mechanism is in place.

6. Dispose of the used set according to applicable local instructions.
