SteriFlow™ PRO standard insulin pen needles

Product description

SteriFlow™ PRO insulin pen needles are standard needles for use in combination with insulin pens and other suitable pen injection systems. The pen needles are compatible with pen injection systems from Novo Nordisk, Sanofi, Eli Lilly and other manufacturers*. They are designed for smooth, controlled and comfortable injection during the subcutaneous administration of medication, including insulin.

Thanks to their practical design with a universal connection, the pen needles can be easily attached to the pen. This supports an efficient and familiar workflow for both healthcare professionals and users in the home setting. SteriFlow™ PRO insulin pen needles are intended for single use and contribute to a hygienic procedure with every injection.

SteriFlow™ PRO insulin pen needles stand out in practical use due to two major advantages:

1. The so-called 'flat base design' distributes pressure evenly across the skin. Compared with conventional pen needles with a more pointed tip, the flat base design may help to minimise perceived pain, prevent skin indentation and drastically reduce the risk of injecting directly into muscle tissue.¹ See also the comparative image in the photo slider.
2. SteriFlow™ PRO is equipped with a so-called 5-bevel needle. Thanks to a special design and corresponding grinding technique, the needle has 5 bevels. Studies on 5-bevel pen needles show that this design can reduce penetration force by up to 23% and is often experienced by users as comfortable.²

SteriFlow™ PRO insulin pen needles do not have a safety mechanism and are therefore suitable for applications where a standard pen needle is required. The combination of ease of use, reliable connection and consistent quality makes SteriFlow™ PRO insulin pen needles a practical choice for daily use in professional healthcare environments and home settings.

In addition to SteriFlow™ PRO insulin pen needles, we also offer SteriFlow™ JUNIOR insulin pen needles. This junior variant has been specially developed for children and other users for whom an ultra-fine pen needle is preferred. The needles are available in gauges 33G and 34G. Thanks to their extra small diameter, these pen needles are particularly suitable when injection comfort is especially important, for example for young users, users who are sensitive to injection pain or for frequent daily use. The fine needle design supports a less invasive injection experience, while remaining suitable for the subcutaneous administration of medication, including insulin.
