AHN® myTip® serological pipettes are designed for the accurate aspiration, transfer and dispensing of liquids in a wide range of laboratory procedures. The pipettes are manufactured from transparent USP Class VI polystyrene, ensuring that both the liquid level and graduations remain clearly visible. They are available in volumes of 1, 2, 5, 10, 25, 50 and 100 mL.
Clear and precise graduation marks support reliable volume measurement, with an accuracy of up to ±2% of the total volume. The dual graduations allow both aspirated and dispensed volumes to be read easily. Negative graduations also provide additional pipetting capacity above the stated nominal volume.
Each pipette is equipped with a polyolefin (PO) filter that acts as a barrier between the liquid and the pipette controller. The filter helps prevent liquids, aerosols and water vapour from entering the controller. At the same time, it reduces the risk of contaminants from the pipette controller reaching the sample, helping prevent cross-contamination between samples.
The colour-coded pipette head allows the different volumes to be identified quickly and easily. Its optimised connection is compatible with most commonly used pipette controllers. This makes the pipettes suitable for efficient and comfortable use in both routine and specialist liquid-handling procedures.
The serological pipettes are sterilised by irradiation to a Sterility Assurance Level of SAL 10⁻⁶. They are also certified free of DNase and RNase and are non-pyrogenic. Each pipette is individually packed in an easy-to-open paper and plastic blister pack, preserving sterility until the moment of use.
