AHN® myBottle® Reagent Bottles are designed for the storage, handling and transport of reagents, chemicals, buffers and biological materials. The extensive range includes bottles manufactured from HDPE, LDPE and PP in different volumes, shapes and neck configurations.
Depending on the application, narrow-mouth and wide-mouth bottles, square-bottom bottles, heavy-duty bottles and larger round bottles with handles are available. The bottles are offered in volumes ranging from 4 mL to 4 litres.
The combination of different materials, volumes, colours and packaging options makes it possible to select a bottle that matches the properties of the liquid and the conditions under which it will be used or stored.
The Reagent Bottles are manufactured from HDPE, LDPE or PP. Each material has its own characteristics.
HDPE offers a robust construction, good chemical resistance and a wide temperature range. It is suitable for a broad variety of reagents and laboratory liquids.
LDPE is more flexible than HDPE and can therefore be compressed more easily. This makes it suitable for applications requiring the controlled dispensing of liquid from the bottle.
PP provides good chemical resistance and higher heat resistance. PP versions are suitable for applications in which the bottle is exposed to elevated temperatures. Suitable PP bottles can be autoclaved.
The chemical compatibility of the selected material and cap with the stored liquid should always be checked before use.
Narrow-mouth bottles have a relatively small opening. This configuration supports controlled pouring and helps reduce the risk of spillage, splashing and contamination during use.
Narrow-mouth bottles are available in HDPE, LDPE and PP. Depending on the selected material and version, volumes range from 4 mL to 4 litres.
The large opening of the wide-mouth bottles simplifies filling, emptying and cleaning. This configuration is practical for larger liquid volumes, more viscous liquids and applications requiring direct access to the contents.
Wide-mouth bottles are available in HDPE, LDPE and PP, with volumes ranging from 30 mL to 4 litres. Selected HDPE versions are also available as sterile, individually wrapped or amber-coloured bottles.
The translucent bottles make it possible to check the contents and liquid level approximately. Selected HDPE bottles are available in amber for light-sensitive reagents.
The amber colour helps protect the contents against exposure to ultraviolet and other light that could affect the stability of light-sensitive substances. The required level of light protection should be assessed according to the properties of the stored liquid.
Square-bottom Reagent Bottles support efficient use of the available space in laboratory cabinets, refrigerators and other storage facilities.
The square bottles are available in HDPE and PP, with volumes ranging from 60 mL to 4 litres. The larger 2- and 4-litre versions feature a handle to support handling and controlled pouring.
The heavy-duty Reagent Bottles are manufactured from PP and feature a reinforced construction for intensive laboratory use. They are available in volumes of 1, 2 and 4 litres.
These versions are suitable for applications requiring additional mechanical strength, chemical resistance and heat resistance.
For handling larger liquid volumes, 4-litre round bottles are available in HDPE and PP. The integrated handle supports lifting, carrying and controlled pouring of the contents.
The bottles are supplied with a high-quality PP screw cap. The cap supports a reliable, leakproof closure and helps protect the contents against leakage, spillage and external contamination.
For certain 1-litre versions, the caps are supplied separately. The available cap and packaging configuration depends on the material, volume and bottle type.
According to the manufacturer, the HDPE and LDPE bottles can be used within a temperature range of -100 to 120 °C. The PP bottles have a specified temperature range of 0 to 135 °C and are suitable for applications involving higher temperatures.
Suitable PP versions can be autoclaved. The exact operating conditions, autoclave cycle and suitability of the cap should be checked before use.
Sterile versions are available for selected HDPE bottles. Certain wide-mouth bottles are also available sterile and individually wrapped.
The range also includes bulk packaging and versions in which the caps are supplied separately. Not every combination of volume, material, colour and packaging is available. The exact configuration should therefore be checked before ordering.
The Reagent Bottles are manufactured in a Class 100K cleanroom. According to the manufacturer, the HDPE, LDPE and PP raw materials are suitable for demanding laboratory applications and comply with USP Class VI.
