AHN® myTip® pipette tips are designed for accurate, reliable and comfortable pipetting across a wide range of laboratory applications. The product range includes standard pipette tips, filter tips and macro tips in various volumes and packaging formats. Depending on the model, the tips are available in bulk packaging or ready for use in colour-coded racks. Sterile versions are available for applications requiring enhanced sample protection.

The pipette tips are manufactured from high-quality, non-wetting virgin polypropylene. According to the manufacturer, this material contains no traces of heavy metals and complies with the applicable provisions of US FDA 21 CFR. The transparent material ensures that the liquid level, sample volume and any air bubbles remain clearly visible. The tips are also autoclavable.

AHN® myTip® pipette tips are manufactured at a modern, fully automated production facility in Germany. The tips are not touched by hand during the manufacturing process. Swiss-made, diamond-polished moulds create an exceptionally smooth inner surface. This allows liquids to be aspirated and dispensed evenly while minimising the amount of sample retained on the inner wall.

The optimised cone geometry ensures a secure connection to the pipette and allows the tips to be attached and ejected easily. The tips are compatible with most commonly used pipette brands. Please consult the compatibility list to confirm suitability for a specific pipette brand or model.

The conical tip opening helps minimise droplet formation at the end of the pipette tip. This allows liquids to be dispensed in a controlled manner with minimal sample loss. Graduation marks at commonly used volumes also enable a quick visual check of the aspirated liquid volume.

The colour-coded racks make it easy to identify the required volume and corresponding pipette. The tip design enables loading and ejection with minimal force. This contributes to an ergonomic workflow and helps reduce physical strain during prolonged or repetitive pipetting.

AHN® myTip® filter tips are available for applications in which protection against aerosols and liquid contamination is particularly important. These tips contain a filter made from high-quality, hydrophobic virgin polyethylene without additives. The Micropore Filter technology, featuring a pore size of 10 to 40 µm, forms a barrier that helps prevent liquids and aerosols from entering the pipette. This provides additional protection for both the pipette and the sample against contamination and cross-contamination.

Applications

Suitable for the accurate aspiration, transfer and dispensing of liquids in general, molecular biology, microbiology and clinical laboratory workflows. Standard tips are suitable for routine pipetting, while filter tips provide additional protection against aerosols and liquid contamination, making them particularly suitable for sensitive samples and contamination-critical applications.
