Product description
Needle-free connectors are designed for safe, reliable, and repeated access in intravenous applications. The design aligns with daily hospital practice, where hygiene, consistent performance, and ease of use are essential.
The transparent housing of the NeutrArt® needle-free connector provides clear visibility of the fluid pathway and supports proper flushing and priming, contributing to safe and controlled administration. The connector has a very low priming volume of 0.04 ml and a neutral displacement of <0.01 ml.
The neutral pressure mechanism (neutral displacement) ensures that virtually no fluid movement occurs when connecting or disconnecting a syringe or IV line. This prevents unintended fluid from being drawn into the catheter or pushed outward. As a result, it supports stable flow, reduces the risk of blood reflux into the catheter, and contributes to safe and reliable intravenous access.
The NeutrArt® needle-free connector features a split septum that functions as an effective microbial barrier. The flat, swabable silicone contact surface supports standardized disinfection protocols and contributes to infection prevention during repeated use. This makes the connectors suitable for frequent connection and disconnection in clinical workflows.
The NeutrArt® needle-free connector complies with EN ISO 80369-7. In addition, the connector is latex-, PVC-, and DEHP-free, aligning with current requirements for patient safety, material safety, and risk reduction.
