Media Bottles

Leakproof PET and PETG bottles for the secure storage of media, buffers and reagents
Media Bottles

Product description

AHN® myBottle® Media Bottles are designed for the secure storage and transport of cell culture media, biological buffers, reagents and other laboratory liquids. The square bottles are manufactured from transparent PET or PETG and combine clear visibility of the contents with a robust, break-resistant construction.

The range includes PETG bottles with volumes from 30 mL to 2 litres and PET bottles with volumes from 125 mL to 1 litre. Depending on the version, the bottles are available in non-sterile bulk, sterile or sterile bulk packaging.

PET and PETG versions

The Media Bottles are available in two material versions. PETG combines high transparency with impact resistance and temperature resistance. PET is also transparent and lightweight, providing a practical solution for the storage and handling of a wide range of laboratory liquids.

The appropriate material should be selected according to the liquid, storage conditions and requirements of the laboratory process. Chemical compatibility should always be checked before use.

Wide volume range

The square PETG bottles are available in volumes of 30, 60, 125, 250 and 500 mL and 1 or 2 litres. The PET bottles are available in volumes of 125, 250 and 500 mL and 1 litre.

The square design supports efficient use of the available space in refrigerators, freezers and storage cabinets. It also provides a stable base during filling, pouring and transport.

Clear graduations

The transparent bottle wall and applied graduations make it easy to inspect the contents and liquid level. The graduations are intended for an approximate assessment of the volume and should not be used for accurate volumetric measurements.

Leakproof and break-resistant construction

The robust plastic construction helps reduce the risk of breakage during normal use, storage and transport. The supplied screw cap supports a leakproof closure and helps protect the contents against leakage and external contamination.

On versions provided with a tamper-evident seal around the cap and bottle neck, it is possible to identify whether the packaging has previously been opened. This helps protect the integrity of sensitive media, buffers and reagents.

Suitable for refrigerated and frozen storage

The Media Bottles can be used within a temperature range of -70 to 60 °C. This makes them suitable for storage at room temperature, refrigerated storage and storage in compatible laboratory freezers.

The bottles are not autoclavable. Always check that the selected material and cap are compatible with the liquid, storage temperature and intended storage period.

Manufacturing

The Media Bottles are manufactured in a Class 8 cleanroom using raw materials that comply with USP Class VI. The materials are BPA-free and comply with the applicable TSE/BSE requirements.
