AHN® myTip® Low Retention Tips are designed for accurate and comfortable pipetting with high sample recovery. Their innovative hydrophobic low-retention surface reduces the adhesion of liquids to the inner wall of the pipette tip. This minimises residual liquid and allows even small sample volumes to be dispensed in a controlled manner.
The pipette tips are manufactured from autoclavable, non-wetting virgin polypropylene. High-quality, diamond-polished production moulds create an exceptionally smooth inner surface. This combination helps minimise liquid retention and contributes to accurate and reproducible pipetting results. The tips are particularly suitable for valuable samples and difficult-to-handle liquids, including viscous liquids, protein solutions and liquids containing detergents.
The optimised cone geometry ensures a secure connection to the pipette and allows the tips to be attached and ejected easily. The tips are compatible with most commonly used pipette brands. Please consult the compatibility list to confirm suitability for a specific pipette brand or model.
Graduation marks at commonly used volumes enable a quick visual check of the aspirated liquid volume. The conical tip opening helps minimise droplet formation at the end of the tip, allowing liquids to be dispensed in a controlled manner with minimal sample loss. Colour-coded racks also make it easy to identify the required volume and corresponding pipette.
The Low Retention Tips are available in volumes ranging from 10 to 1,250 µL and, depending on the version, are supplied in bags or ready-to-use racks. Beta-irradiated sterile versions are available for applications requiring additional protection of sample integrity.
AHN® myTip® Low Retention Filter Tips combine the hydrophobic low-retention surface with a filter made from high-quality, hydrophobic virgin polyethylene without additives. Micropore Filter technology, featuring a pore size of 10 to 40 µm, forms a barrier that helps prevent liquids and aerosols from entering the pipette. This provides additional protection for both the sample and the pipette and helps reduce the risk of contamination and cross-contamination.
