Developed for clinical practice
Bispectral Index, or BIS, is a form of brain function monitoring based on EEG signals. During general anesthesia or deep sedation, BIS monitoring helps tracking the hypnotic component of anesthesia and supports the healthcare professional in assessing the level of consciousness or depth of sedation. The BIS value is displayed as a numerical index, typically from 0 to 100, where lower values correspond to deeper suppression of cortical activity.¹ ²
In a dynamic care environment, speed, reliability, and ease of use are essential. LifeLink™ BIS sensors are designed for rapid deployment and consistent signal quality, even during longer procedures.
Key product benefits:
Flexible deployment
Available in various versions for adult and pediatric use, and suitable for use in diverse healthcare environments such as the OR and ICU.
Broad compatibility
Suitable for commonly used patient/BIS monitors from GE, Medtronic/Covidien, Mindray, Dräger, Philips, Nihon Kohden, Comen, Edan, Biolight, and Spacelabs, among others.³
Efficient and reliable
Clear positioning markings, reliable adhesive strength, and consistent quality support a streamlined workflow. With LifeLink™, you choose performance, ease of use, and patient comfort in a single sensor.
