Product description
FlowArt® needle-free connectors with negative displacement are designed to provide safe, reliable, and repeated access for intravenous applications. The design aligns with everyday hospital practice, where hygiene, consistent performance, and ease of use are essential.
The negative pressure mechanism (negative displacement) creates a slight inward movement of fluid when a syringe or IV line is disconnected. This controlled fluid movement helps prevent fluid from being pushed out of the catheter during disconnection.
FlowArt® needle-free connectors feature a split septum that functions as an effective microbial barrier. The flat, swabable silicone surface supports standardized disinfection protocols and contributes to infection prevention during repeated use. This makes the connectors suitable for frequent connection and disconnection within clinical workflows.
The transparent housing allows clear visibility of the fluid path and supports proper flushing and priming, contributing to safe and controlled administration.
FlowArt® needle-free connectors comply with EN ISO 80369-7. In addition, they are latex-free, PVC-free, and DEHP-free, meeting current requirements for patient safety, material safety, and risk reduction.
We offer several types of FlowArt® needle-free connectors, tailored to specific clinical needs:
- FlowArt® needle-free connector with negative displacement. This connector has a priming volume of 0.085 ml and a negative displacement of -0.02 ml.
- FlowArt® One-Way needle-free connector with a built-in valve mechanism that allows fluid movement in only one direction. The connector has a priming volume of 0.13 ml and a displacement of 0.057 ml.
- All FlowArt® needle-free connectors are also available with a pre-assembled extension line in lengths of 10 cm and 20 cm.
- All FlowArt® needle-free connectors are available with a transparent housing or in an amber-colored version intended for use with light-sensitive medication.
