The FlowArt® needle-free connector has been developed to provide safe, reliable, and repeated access in hemodialysis applications. Its design aligns with daily clinical practice in the dialysis unit, where hygiene, consistent performance, and ease of use are essential.
The connector features a needle-free split septum that acts as an effective microbial barrier. The flat, swabbable silicone access surface supports standardized disinfection protocols and contributes to infection prevention during repeated use. This makes the valve suitable for frequent connection and disconnection during dialysis treatments.
The transparent housing provides clear visibility of the fluid pathway and supports proper flushing and priming. The design with virtually zero dead space (priming volume 0.085 ml) and negative displacement reduces residual volume and backflow, contributing to controlled and efficient fluid delivery.
The FlowArt® needle-free connector is designed for multiple access and is compatible with blood, TPN solutions, and oncology medications. Thanks to its high flow capacity and pressure resistance up to 400 psi, performance remains stable even under demanding clinical conditions such as hemodialysis.
In addition, the connector complies with EN ISO 80369-7 and is latex-free, PVC-free, and DEHP-free, meeting current requirements for patient safety and material selection.
