Temperature resistant
AHN® maxxLine® Cryo Vials withstand temperatures ranging from -196 to 121 °C. Use at -196 °C is intended exclusively for storage in the vapour phase of liquid nitrogen. The Cryo Vials are not intended for immersion in liquid nitrogen.
The Cryo Vials can be autoclaved at 121 °C. The supplied sterile Cryo Vials are sterilised by beta irradiation.
Stable star-shaped base
The star-shaped base provides stability while filling and closing the Cryo Vials. Its design supports one-handed operation and helps prevent the tube from rotating during sample processing.
The straight body and compact base support efficient use of available space in cryogenic storage boxes and freezers.
Graduations and writing area
The 1.0, 2.0, 4.0 and 5.0 mL Cryo Vials feature clear graduation marks and a large writing area. This supports rapid volume checks and clear sample identification.
The 0.5 mL version is supplied without printing. Its smaller format is suitable for storing small sample volumes.
Coloured cap inserts
Cap inserts are available in blue, green, red, white and yellow for additional sample identification. Colour coding makes it possible to distinguish samples, research groups, storage conditions or workflows visually.
The cap inserts are available separately by colour and as an assortment containing all five colours.
