AHN® myTube® Microcentrifuge Tubes and Centrifuge Tubes are designed for the safe processing, centrifugation and storage of a wide variety of samples and reagents. The range includes 0.5, 1.5 and 2.0 mL Microcentrifuge Tubes, standard 15 and 50 mL Centrifuge Tubes and specialised Heavy Metal Centrifuge Tubes for trace-metal and elemental analysis.
The high-quality raw materials provide good mechanical and chemical resistance. Clear graduations and writable marking areas support rapid volume checks and reliable sample identification. Depending on the volume and configuration, AHN® myTube® tubes are available in sterile and non-sterile versions.
AHN® myTube® Microcentrifuge Tubes are suitable for processing and centrifuging small sample volumes. The clear versions allow the contents to be inspected easily. A black 1.5 mL version is also available to protect light-sensitive samples.
The tubes feature accurate graduation marks and a frosted writing area for sample identification. The 0.5 mL tube provides 0.1 mL of additional space, while the 1.5 mL tube provides 0.2 mL. This additional space can be useful in applications where the liquid volume expands during freezing or heating.
The cap is pierceable and closes with an audible and tactile click. The 1.5 and 2.0 mL versions feature orientation nibs near the hinge to support controlled opening and closing. The tubes and caps have no sharp points, helping reduce the risk of damage to laboratory gloves.
The 0.5 mL AHN® myTube® Microcentrifuge Tubes withstand centrifugal forces of up to 20,000 × g. The 1.5 and 2.0 mL versions can be centrifuged at up to 25,000 × g.
The 15 and 50 mL AHN® myTube® Centrifuge Tubes feature a flat screw cap, clear graduations and a large writing area. The three-quarter-turn closure enables rapid opening and closing and supports comfortable handling.
The tubes withstand temperatures ranging from -80 to 121 °C. They are autoclavable when treated open at 121 °C for 15 minutes. Sterile versions are sterilised by gamma irradiation and are non-cytotoxic, biologically inert and BPA-free.
The 15 mL tubes withstand centrifugal forces of up to 17,000 RCF. The conical 50 mL tubes can be centrifuged at up to 20,000 RCF. The self-standing 50 mL version features a skirted base and withstands up to 7,000 RCF.
The 15 and 50 mL AHN® myTube® Centrifuge Tubes are available in bags or ready for use in racks. The self-standing 50 mL version is supplied in bags.
Specialised 15 and 50 mL AHN® myTube® Heavy Metal Centrifuge Tubes are available for trace-metal and elemental analysis. Each version is analysed for trace metals and certified to contain less than 1 ppb of metals including lead, arsenic, cadmium, zinc and nickel.
Both volumes withstand centrifugal forces of up to 20,000 RCF and temperatures ranging from -80 to 121 °C. They feature a flat screw cap, clear graduations and a large writing area. Sterile and non-sterile versions are available. An Extractables and Leachables profile can be supplied on request.
