These blood collection sets with safety mechanism allow you to collect blood safely. The sets are color-coded and available in various versions (with or without luer adapter, with or without holder). In the product table at the bottom of this page you will find a complete overview with all options.
Instructions
1. Remove the set from the sterile individual package and check the best before date and whether the package is undamaged.
2. Hold the safety mechanism and remove the protective cap from the needle.
3. Hold the needle by the wings and insert the needle into the patient.
4. After Blood Collection: Hold a sterile gauze over the puncture site and, with the other hand, hold the base of the set while withdrawing the needle.
5. Activate the safety mechanism by gently pulling the extension line away from the needle to activate the safety mechanism. You will hear a click once the needle safety mechanism is in place.
6. Dispose of the used set according to applicable local instructions.
