The Foley balloon catheter is a versatile product that can be used not only for urine drainage. This specific type of catheter is also often used to mature the cervix, or to induce labour.
Due to the materials used, this catheter is suitable for a longer internal stay. The symmetrical Foley balloon ensures that the tip remains in the bladder, so that the drainage of urine is as smooth as possible. Two lateral openings prevent the risk of injury and crusting. To inflate and deflate the Foley balloon without difficulty, the catheter is fitted with a hard plastic valve.
As usual, this type of catheter is also color coded for universal distinction between the various sizes available.
This product is available in a variety of sizes and in two versions: a pediatric version and an adult version. Both have their own dimensions and balloon capacity, see product table below.
