These 'Kolibri' safe port needle systems feature a unique type of needle, which eliminates the risk of 'coring' compared to the commonly used Huber needles for port administration. This extends the life of these ports, reduces the risk of leakage and insertion of skin and silicone particles into , and lowers the risk of infection. The user-friendly fixation wings allow the user to easily handle the product.
To eliminate the risk of needle stick accidents, these needles are also equipped with an easy-to-activate safety mechanism. Many other port needle systems often have the needle 'pull up' to activate the safety mechanism, but the 'Kolibri' safe port needle systems do not. This needle is equipped with a simple but effective safety mechanism that encapsulates the needle in a single movement.
