Applications
Saflo™ systems are designed for subcutaneous delivery and can be used for applications including:
- Subcutaneous immunoglobulin administration (SCIg).
- Palliative care and pain management.
- Subcutaneous medication delivery for Parkinson’s disease.
- Subcutaneous fluid administration, also known as hypodermoclysis.
The choice of system and configuration depends on the prescribed therapy, the preferred insertion technique and the administration equipment used.
Subcutaneous immunoglobulin administration
Saflo™ is also suitable for subcutaneous immunoglobulin administration. The soft cannula and integrated adhesive pad support patient comfort and secure fixation during administration.

Two insertion techniques
Saflo™ — angled insertion
Saflo™ is inserted at an angle. The system features a soft FEP cannula, a 27G introducer needle and an integrated adhesive pad.
The detachable tubing connection offers flexibility when selecting extension tubing. Available options include:
- Straight extension tubing.
- Extension tubing with a side port and needle-free connector.
- Short extension tubing with a needle-free connector.
Saflo 90™ — 90° insertion
Saflo 90™ is inserted perpendicular to the skin and is available with a cannula length of 6 or 9 mm. The lengths are colour-coded for easy identification: green for 6 mm and blue for 9 mm.
The low-profile design supports patient comfort and discreet placement. The translucent housing allows visibility of the insertion site. Saflo 90™ is available in different configurations with extension tubing, with or without a needle-free connector.
Extension tubing and accessories
The range includes various extension lines and connectors to adapt the system to the intended administration method. Depending on the configuration, options include straight extension tubing, a non-return valve, a Y-connector and needle-free connections.
